About Andrew Antony, M.D.
Dr. Antony received his B.S. in Biology from Georgetown University and his M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at New York University Medical Center, where he was recognized for his commitment to collaborative and compassionate healthcare, and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Antony then went to Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and trained at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital to complete his gastroenterology fellowship. Thereafter, he pursued a sub-specialty fellowship in advanced endoscopy at North Shore University Hospital. Dr. Antony aims to provide the best evidence-based treatment options to address each individual patient’s needs. He treats a range of gastrointestinal conditions including gastroesophageal reflux disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and diseases of the pancreas and bile ducts. Dr. Antony performs upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, and has a special interest in colorectal cancer screening. In addition, Dr. Antony is trained in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. He is skilled in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) for removal of large polyps, luminal stenting, and endoscopic therapy for Barrett’s esophagus. Dr. Antony is welcoming new patients with all gastrointestinal disorders to his practice.
