About Michel I. Kafrouni, M.D.

“Practicing evidence-based medicine is what we are taught to do, but it is not enough. I believe that compassion and availability to my patients are essential parts of my mission as a gastrointestinal specialist. I strive to always provide optimal care and outcomes, and that starts with caring. Patients with GI problems are not always ‘textbook’ cases, which requires us to work harder to connect the dots and to solve their problems. I enjoy my practice due to the diversity and variation not just from one person to the next but among gastrointestinal disorders, which provides me with daily challenges that keep my practice fresh and exciting. But the things that remain constant are, to my mind, spending the time it takes to do things right and being sympathetic to and concerned about each individual in my care.”
