About Nidhi Malhotra, M.D.
Joining Cary Gastroenterology in 2021, Dr. Nidhi Malhotra is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.
Education
Dr. Malhotra is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Malhotra did her internship and residency in internal medicine at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C., and continued her fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology here, as well. Dr. Malhotra also completed an advanced fellowship in inflammatory bowel diseases at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore Maryland.
Dr. Malhotra served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Medstar Washington Hospital Center and Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C. prior to coming to Cary Gastroenterology.

The ease of getting me scheduled and being able to be seen was a huge plus. I love the customer service provided over the phone as well as in person.

Dr. Malhotra is very thorough, knowledgeable, and personable, and spends a lot of time answering your questions and making sure you are comfortable with the treatment. I highly recommend this practice and doctor.
Dr. Malhotra has been so helpful! She really tries to explore the root cause of the problems I have been having. She is knowledgeable and has been working to find solutions beyond just one medication. I’d recommend her for sure! My only feedback for change would be for some of the office staff making the appointments feel less rushed, but I also understand this can be hard in healthcare.

Dr. Malhotra is the BEST! She is very attentive, knowledgeable and caring when it comes to her patients. I had a scheduled appointment with her and was going to be fifteen minutes late for my appointment. I called the office to let them know and to see if she would still be able to see me. First time visit to Dr. Malhotra. Very pleasant and gets right to the heart of the problem that I came to see her for. The tests all seemed appropriate based on my knowledge. The staff were friendly. I felt like I was going to my underlying problems ideally solved or at least some potential suspects ruled out. Dr. Malhotra was receptive to questions and seemed very knowledgeable. I’d recommend her without hesitation. She came highly recommended from several of my colleagues.
