Why Gastroenterology?
I chose to specialize in Gastroenterology because it’s a field I’ve always found fascinating and fun. I enjoy both the procedures and medical aspects of it. My research is primarily focused on gut microbiome and fecal microbiota transplant.

Dr Annie Hong was very efficient in performing a procedure. She was quick with devising and documenting a treatment plan. She can become outstanding by spending more time with the patient and listening to concerns and addressing them thoughtfully. The front desk was very distracted when I checked in. Neither the woman who checked me in or the gentleman who set up my next appointment really looked at me or smiled. However, Dr. Hong was fantastic. She listened to my concerns and we had an informed discussion. She was very professional and concerned with all I brought to her attention. She made me feel heard and did not dismiss any of my concerns.
I’m incredibly thankful for Dr. Hong and how she sees the big picture with how to treat me. Having many chronic illnesses can be difficult but she never stops trying! Thank you!
