About Brent Keith, MD
I chose to be a pediatric gastroenterologist first and foremost to help kids. In nearly all instances, pediatric patients can’t help that they get a belly ache, develop vomiting, diarrhea, constipation or even unintentional weight loss. Whether constant or intermittent, the signs and symptoms GI distress are real, affect a child’s quality of life and can contribute to family stress and worry. I am here to help. I will advocate for your child’s GI needs to keep them happy, healthy and smiling.
My approach to patient care is patient and family “centric”. I spend time and listen to my family’s concerns. Sometimes the answer to what is going on is in the medical history alone, and other times, an evaluation may be needed. I look at myself as a member of your child’s healthcare team. Any good team has excellent communication, which is something I strive for. While under my care, I will be there to help answer questions and advocate for your child’s GI health.
In my free time, I enjoy staying active and participating in outdoor activities.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Keith! He has been wonderful with my son. Very attentive, never rushes the appointments, answers all my questions and makes an effort to genuinely connect with my son. We have a lot of complex stuff going on and Dr. Keith is thorough and conservative with his approach, which I appreciate. He also connected us with a wonderful feeding therapist and nutrition coach. If you’re looking for someone to go above and beyond for your child, reach out to Dr. Keith!
I am really late writing this review, but I cannot say enough good things about Dr Keith. He does not hustle you through appointments. He really takes time to listen to what my son is telling him and asks a lot of questions. We had to go to the ER one night because my son was having intense pain. Dr Keith met us there and stayed until the wee hours of the night to make sure my son was stabilized. He is very good at what he does.
Dr Brent is fantastic! He cares for the kids and parents. He is highly knowledgeable and experienced. We had a wonderful experience both from the staff and the doctor.
Dr Keith is the best pediatric specialist I have ever come across. He is very very good at what he does- extremely knowledgeable and professional, and FANTASTIC with kids. My 4 year old absolutely loves him.
Absolutely wonderful with my 6 year old daughter. She’s always nervous with doctors. Didn’t wait to be seen, had a test done right afterwards at the downstairs imaging center and by the time we got home, doctor was calling to discuss results. My daughter never talks to doctors, very shy.. he had her talking like it was her friend. 100% recommend him.

Dr. Keith took his time with my daughter and I. I never felt like he was in a rush and was very personable. He was gentle, kind and cautious not to poke around and cause pain where she was having trouble. He explained everything to me thoroughly and in a way that I could understand. I left with a clear course of action and was confident in the plan. He listened intently and I felt had my babies best interest in mind! I’d recommend him to any parent!
I highly recommend Dr. Keith after our initial visit. Dr. Keith spent real time and interest with us in order to care for my toddler’s issues. I feel confident we have the highest quality of care after our visit. New and clean office that is very kid friendly, as well.
I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Keith and his staff! Dr. Keith is so thorough and asks tons of questions to tunderstand the root cause of the issue. He truly listens instead of talking over you and he is so wonderful with our daughter. He made her feel right at ease. And the the staff are just as great! Office is well run, no long wait times and they are so friendly.
Dr. Keith has been a blessing these past few months. Our son was misdiagnosed for two years. After many attempts to get him help and thousands of dollars spent at a natural path because I was at a loss and had no idea why the GI doctors couldn't find anything. I finally took him to Childrens Hospital ER and refused to leave until he was admitted. We finally got answers and he was diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis at 14. We were under the care of another GI and had failed two medications. His GI told me at the time that I was just a mom and had no idea what I was talking about even though I could tell he wasn't responding to the meds. Constantly anemic, calprotectin was still in the 2000-3000 range when it should be closer to 100, and he was having grapefruit size swellings at injection site on Humira with bleeding and frequency. It wasn't until I was determined to find the right doctor for our son when I stumbled across Dr. Keith. Not only was his staff amazing when I called, Dr Keith saw us within a few days, spent an hour talking to us as I cried in his office because I just wanted to help my son. If you want someone who is a partner in your childs care, and remission then seriously don't keep looking. Dr. Keith has been a God Send and I can't express my gratitude enough. He listened to me, ran his own tests and agreed that we needed different medicine. Now my son is on an Infusion and it literally changed over night . Foods dont effect him anymore, no more getting up at night to use bathroom, or urgency while out. I literally got my child back and now he is thriving and back to playing sports. Dr Keith, I am so thankful for you and your staff!
We love Dr Keith and all of his staff! We have been seeing him since our baby was 3 months old and she is 21 months now. He has been following her for CMPA and SPA and has been exceptional. He always answers all of our questions, never makes us feel rushed and is so kind and caring. It’s also easy to schedule appointments with him without waiting months to get in. This last visit he literally sat on the floor with our daughter so she would feel comfortable while he checked her. We are so happy we found him! Highly recommend, don’t look any further!
We love that Dr Keith thoroughly read up on our daughter’s Hx and recommended further investigations for precautionary tests to avoid another surgery for Rachael. Thank you Dr Keith, for looking out for us!
Dr.Keith works with you as the parent & with the patient. He holds the patient accountable & he’s not like other doctor/s, where if they can’t find an answer, they give up. It seems Dr.Keith is going above & beyond to help us figure out what is going on with our child.
Dr Keith is the perfect doctor, and without a doubt the best doctor I’ve ever seen. Dr Keith needs to be the staple and blue print for doctors. He is sweet, patient, understanding, and explains things to you. He wants you understand what is happening and understand how he tackles it. He is thorough, detailed, and genuinely just want the best for everyone he sees. I don’t think I could thank him enough for what he’s done for me. Can’t recommend more!
This place has the sweetest staff from the receptionist to the doctor. Dr. Keith’s nurse Staci was so kind, compassionate and understanding. There should be more professionals out there like her. Dr. Keith Was thorough and had a great bedside manner. Dr. Keith was very approachable and knowledgeable and his field.
Dr. Keith has seen two of my children, 1 for GI related issues and the other for feeding/weight gain issues. Dr. Keith takes his time listening to all our concerns and never rushes us out. He talks to our children and explains the importance of their GI health in a way they can easily understand. He provides us with a variety of options to assist in getting them the help they need and has been absolutely wonderful. Although he is based out of Plano, he visits us up north in Sherman, Tx so we don't have the long commute. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a pediatric GI doctor.
Dr Keith is a great provider. We’ve had to navigate some challenging things for my 5 month old, and Dr Keith has been very caring and supportive every step of the way. Highly recommend.

My husband and I LOVE Dr. Keith at DHAT! We came to him when our son was 2 months old and was not gaining weight at the rate he should be due to some reflux issues and other digestive issues. He was not even on the curve when we started going to Dr. Keith but now is almost in the 50th percentile at almost 8 months old! We were struggling so much in the beginning and were at a complete loss on how to help our child until we started going here and see such a change in him now that we are on a formula that works for him and that he got us some feeding therapy as well in the beginning. I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Keith. He did everything he could to help get our child on track and I don’t know where we would be right now without him.
We are thankful for Dr. Keith. After years of testing to determine a medical issue, we were referred to Dr. Keith for a second opinion. He asked all the right questions, reached out to his network of doctors and was able to help point us in the right direction to get a resolution within just a couple of weeks. After years of trying to figure out what was wrong we were able to move forward with the proper care. He was personable, caring and solution-oriented.
