About Veena Kumaravel, MD
Dr. Kumaravel graduated from the Aurora Healthcare Gastroenterology Fellowship program in Milwaukee, WI. She recently joined Digestive Health Associates of Texas and practices primarily at the Methodist Richardson Medical Center. Dr. Kumaravel has endoscopy privileges at the Preston Crossing Endoscopy Center, where she performs outpatient procedures. She treats a wide range of general gastroenterology and liver-related disorders and has a specific interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and pregnancy-related GI disorders.

I absolutely love Dr. Kumaravel. She literally saved my life. In 2016 she diagnosed me with liver cirrhosis. Over the next 4 years she took care of my condition in very loving and compassionate way. She kept me alive long enough until I could receive a liver transplant in 2021. She kept on top of my condition through the whole process and when the time came she referred me to Dr. Vahora at the Liver & Kidney Institute. Dr. Vahora was another great doctor at Dallas Methodist Hospital.

I got very quick appointment, the office staff is nice and nurses are wonderful. Dr Kumaravel is very good at her work, friendly and happy doc. Detailed with understanding your issues and she helped me move quickly through the steps that I needed to take. I love her happy and positive attitude.
