About Ramesh Srinivasan, M.D.

Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?

I find gastroenterology to be very interesting and exciting. Gastroenterology involves multiple organs and understanding the diverse pathology associated with those presents challenges I look forward to curing every day.

Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?

I have a special interest in Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS).

Where did you study?

I received my undergraduate degree from Penn St. and my medical degree from Texas A&M University College of Medicine. I completed my internship and residency at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

What certifications do you hold?

I have a masters in clinical research and a MBA in Healthcare. I am board certified in Gastroenterology.

What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy archery, playing guitar, travelling, hiking, and outdoor activities. I am also a founder of the charity organization Dogs and Cars with the DFW Humane Society.

Do you have any special honors or recognition in your medical career that you would like to share?

I served as the Chief of Staff at Baylor Scott and White in Grapevine from 2015-2017. I have authored and co-authored multiple publications in journals such as The American Journal of Gastroenterology, Journal of Gastrointestinal and Liver disease, Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery, Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology, and Practical Gastroenterology.
