About Kim Gentry, M.D.
Dr. Gentry was born and raised right here in Dallas, Texas. He attended North Texas State University in Denton, Texas as an undergraduate, and then went on to the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio for medical school. After his graduation in 1984, Dr. Gentry attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas where he completed his internship and residency training. In 1987, Dr. Gentry began his fellowship training gastroenterology and hepatology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. While at Baylor, Dr. Gentry also became an Instructor in Medicine and Assistant Professor in 1990-1991. Immediately following his appointments at Baylor, Dr. Gentry moved to Arlington and became one of the founding partners of Arlington Gastroenterology Associates, LLP, a single specialty gastroenterology practice. In September 2007, Dr. Gentry and his fellow partners in Arlington Gastroenterology Associates unanimously decided to join their colleagues in Texas Digestive Disease Consultants, PA.
Dr. Gentry is board certified in gastroenterology. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association and Tarrant County Medical Society. His procedural skills include diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy and endoscopy, and diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP, including sphincterotomy and stent placement. Dr. Gentry enjoys spending time at the lake with his family, cheering on his children at their various sporting events, and mastering the art of outdoor cooking. He and his wife reside in Arlington with their five children.
