About Sidney Vinson, M.D.

Dr. Vinson is a Fayetteville native. Prior to moving back to Arkansas, he was a Major in the United States Army Medical Corps and Assistant Chief of Gastroenterology at Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. After completing 12 years of military service, Dr. Vinson, his wife and two children moved back to Northwest Arkansas to be a part of the wonderful family oriented community.

Education:

  • Subspecialty Residency in Gastroenterology and Hepatology – Fort Sam, Houston, Texas
  • Internal Medicine Residency – Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia
  • Doctorate in Medicine – University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock
  • Bachelor of Arts in Biology – Hendrix College, Conway

 

Awards and Accreditation:

  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine
