About Thomas E. Trouillot, M.D.

Thomas E. Trouillot, MD, was born and raised in New York City. Following medical school, he taught other medical students for several years before joining the team at Colorado Gastroenterology in Denver, Aurora, and Golden.

Dr. Trouillot earned his bachelor’s degree in intellectual history from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, then attended medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. After finishing medical school, Dr. Trouillot moved to Colorado for his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.

He joined the University of Colorado faculty as an Assistant Professor, specializing in liver disease and teaching for five years, then left the academic world to enter private practice in gastroenterology and hepatology.

Dr. Trouillot continues to enjoy teaching and often gives GI- and liver-related lectures to other physicians. He is an active member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. He is board-certified in gastroenterology and is on the medical staff at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center, Saint Joseph Hospital, and Rose Medical Center, all in the Denver area.

Dr. Trouillot is married with two children.
