About L. Phillips Jenkins, M.D.

Dr. L. Phillips Jenkins received his undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Upon graduation, he completed his residency training in internal medicine at the University Mississippi Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Louisiana State University Medical Sciences Center in New Orleans. Dr. Jenkins is board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology. Dr. Jenkins is currently a resident of St. Tammany Parish. He maintains active membership in The Louisiana State Medical Society, Louisiana Gastroenterology Society, The American College of Gastroenterology, The American Gastroenterology Association, and The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Jenkins joined the GastroGroup and Endocenter in July of 2012. Dr. Jenkins is an active staff member of St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Lakeview Regional Medical Center, Slidell Memorial Hospital, and Ochsner-Northshore Hospital. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Jenkins enjoys traveling, reading, the outdoors, and spending time with his wife and three daughters.
