About Anna Patel, M.D.

Dr. Anna Patel is a Board Certified gastroenterologist practicing in the Chicago metropolitan area. Although Dr. Patel treats a variety of GI issues, she focuses on management of various liver diseases, including cirrhosis. Prior to joining GI Alliance of Illinois, Dr. Patel practiced at Illinois Digestive and Liver Disease Specialists.

 

Patients can expect to receive thorough and compassionate care when they visit Dr. Patel. She believes in working with patients and forming genuine physician-patient relationships in order to provide individualized and comprehensive gastroenterology and hepatology care.

 

Dr. Patel received her undergraduate degree in chemical engineering with a minor in psychology from Illinois Institute of Technology. She obtained her medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science- The Chicago Medical School. Following her graduation, she completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She also completed her transplant hepatology fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and served as chief fellow.

In her free time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with her family, as well as traveling.
