About Abdi Abbassi, M.D.
Dr. Abdi Abbassi is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist and has been practicing gastroenterology with an emphasis on Hepatology since 1997. He then began his internship at Georgetown department of Medicine at D.C. and continued on to do his residency and a fellowship at University of Florida Shands, where he earned the title of Chief fellow.
Dr. Abbassi is actively affiliated with St. Vincent’s Riverside, St. Vincent’s Southside, St. Vincent’s Clay County, Baptist Medical Center, Memorial Hospital, Orange Park Medical Center and U.F. Shands Jacksonville. Dr. Abbassi is currently the chief of Gastroenterology at St. Vincent’s Riverside.
Dr. Abbassi is a bilingual, energetic and personable physician. In his free time he enjoys traveling, downhill skiing and spending time with his family which include his three dogs. He also spends a great deal of time continuing his education in gastroenterology.

This review is literally 3 minutes after waking up from my colonoscopy. The title of my review: ¤Appreciated.ly Humble & Grateful". From Taylor to the other unknown other. I was cared for with such calming compassion and concerned for. Not in a worrysome way, but rather, a healthy family way.. I was concerned on the drive here with my body feeling like I was headed f to surgery. The staff here from the moment I walked through the door were smiles, informative, compassion and obligement the entire time. The entire facility I saw was clean and organized. Nobody was curt out rushing. No talk in the background being shirt with other patients. I'm just so pleased that this facility exists. Thank you Dr. Abassi and staff. You made my experience calming and enjoyable. This will stay with me when ever I speak about your faculty and facility to anybody I meet.
I am a patient of Dr. Abbassi. He is very friendly & the staff is hospitable.
If I could give 10 I would very pleased with Dr Abbassi and the nurses and anesthesiologist Bruce they took good care of me and assured I will do fine for both procedures endoscopy and colonoscopy..thought I would have reaction to the anesthesia but I didn’t I just have sore throat..Over all I’m good and had good experience with Dr Abbasi. However few front desk I spoke with over phone was very unprofessional and needs some customer service retraining for real.Very a rude and I feel just there for paycheck..Do not take their job serious.And when I arrived they had no info on my copay I made over phone day before..I had to go in my phone email and show the lady.Do not know why it wasn’t showing but she said it wasn’t updated I said I don’t know how it wasn’t they took payment over phone and called every other day about reminding me to make sure I pay it..As I stated I am pleased with Dr Abbassi and glad he did my procedures today.I highly recommend him.Very courteous informative good bed side manners and attentive!Its the front desk ladies need to be removed or put in another location especially Lexi if that’s her correct name she gave.muted me several times and acted as if I was bothering her cause I ask few questions regarding my procedures prep.cause my paper work confused me! If you can’t answer questions regarding certain question just say mam I will get that info for you,mute me few times and came back on giggling.Front desk is first people you see and you wanna make sure first impressions last impressions on phone or in person..But I’m glad my primary referred Dr Abbassi.

2nd time with him for colonoscopy. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Dr Abbasi and his stuff are amazing . They are all So kind and courteous. I recommend anyone needing a GI physician to visit Dr Abbasi ! 5 Stars for sure !

Dr. Abdi Abbassi is very caring and highly detail oriented. Their customer service was excellent and felt comfortable during my Colonoscopy & Endoscopy conducted on June 2022. The entire facility was sparkling including the staff. I would highly recommend. Thank you!

The center is very clean and professional. This is my second experience with them. The procedure went as scheduled and planned.
I was nervous about my first colonoscopy that I kept putting off. Dr. Abbassi and his associates were very professional and competent during the entire process and put me at ease. The nurses were right in that the worse thing about the entire colonoscopy process was the prep from the night before.
Awesome staff. Friendly and made the whole process wonderful.

Talking to Dr.abdi was so helpful I am glad that I just was able to listen and hear him talk to me because he was easy to understand, very clear when he was explaining what i needed to hear thanks a lot cencerly
