About Alyn Adrain, M.D.
Biography
Dr Adrain joined the practice in 2000. A native Rhode Islander, she attended high school, college and medical school in Providence before leaving to train in California and Philadelphia, then practice briefly in New York before returning home.
She has special interests in advanced therapeutic endoscopy and women’s GI health. She has served as RI Governor for the American College of Gastroenterology, President of the RI Gastroenterology Society, and President of the Rhode Island Medical Society, for which she still serves as Delegate for the American Medical Society. She volunteers her time as an assistant clinical professor at Brown’s Warren Alpert Medical School.
She loves travel, boating, cycling, skiing, and spending time with her immense family, especially her two children.

During the five days he lay in the CCU at Mirian Hospital with all his organs shutting down until he died not once did this doctor call me back after I left her messages or come to his room so I could speak to her.
I know doctors are human and humans make mistakes but I would prefer others know this and find a doctor who cares more. Who double checks on procedures, who returns calls to dying family members and who follows up on patients when they end up in the ER hours after they tear a hole, by accident, inside them.
