Why Gastroenterology?
I chose to specialize in Gastroenterology because it’s a field I’ve always found fascinating and fun. I enjoy both the procedures and medical aspects of it. My research is primarily focused on gut microbiome and fecal microbiota transplant.

The front desk was very distracted when I checked in. Neither the woman who checked me in or the gentleman who set up my next appointment really looked at me or smiled. However, Dr. Hong was fantastic. She listened to my concerns and we had an informed discussion. She was very professional and concerned with all I brought to her attention. She made me feel heard and did not dismiss any of my concerns.
Dr. Hong took care of my 93 year old mother. She was incredibly kind and caring, She took time to talk to my mom, asked questions and provided medical interventions that were very helpful. My mom said, you must write a review for Dr. Hong because she was so wonderful! We highly recommend Dr. Hong
I'm still pretty early on in addressing my problem. But I was really happy that she took my situation seriously, and most importantly built in a plan for a follow up. Previously I had to really self direct any follow ups.
Dr Annie Hong was very efficient in performing a procedure. She was quick with devising and documenting a treatment plan. She can become outstanding by spending more time with the patient and listening to concerns and addressing them thoughtfully.
