Why Gastroenterology?
I chose to specialize in gastroenterology because I believe that gastrointestinal health is a core component of our overall wellbeing. Gastrointestinal diseases can have significant impact on our daily quality of life. I am grateful for the privilege of working in a fast-growing field with advancing research and innovation where I have the opportunity to meaningfully improve how my patients feel.

All the staff are very friendly and nice . For the procedure I had, everything went very smoothly and on time. The nurses and staff were very caring and treated me very efficient. Dr. Fung came and talked to me and I could understand how the procedure went. I definitely recommend Dr. Fung. He is very methodical and thorough and explains what he's doing every step of the way. Dr. Fung took his time and shared his many thoughts and ideas of what my diagnosis might be. He referred me to a few tests. After my appointment he called me himself to offer another possible diagnosis. I will be tested for that as well in order to narrow the possibilities. He truly cares, takes his time, and I feel comfortable being his patient. Very kind and professional. Office staff were also professional and efficient.
I was so happy that I had a wonderful experience. The Endoscopy Location, the staff & Dr. Fung were terrific. I don’t know why I procrastinated so long to have my colonoscopy done.

This is by far the best experience I’ve had with a colonoscopy. Doctor Fung is a very personable and kind person. He communicates well and he does everything he can to accommodate his patients needs. When I had my pre op appointment, he was on time. When I had my procedure, he was early which I love. The staff at the office is equally good. I highly recommend Doctor Fung.
I have been suffering for many years with stomach issues. Was passed on to the next Dr or if simply just ignored. He not only heard, but he listened to me.validated my feeling about my symptoms. We are still solving the mystery, but he hasn't given up.
Dr. Fung is a consummate and knowledgeable professional. He took the time to explain processes and procedures and it is clear that he cares about people.

Very professional. Got there early. Got the vitals taken. Once they knew I was still alive; the procedure went well. Zapped a pollip out of there. I should have saved it to put on a pizza.😉
They did a great job. Staff was attentive and considerate.
Staff took time to talk to me, and to make sure I understood everything through every step of the way. Everyone I interacted with was caring and made sure I was comfortable. No issues with scheduling or communications.
Great staff, was taken very good care of both pre and post procedure. Can't say how my experience was during my procedure but Dr. Fung provided me with great detail of his observations and evaluation.
Brian Fung was great - the procedure went smoothly, the in-person staff was wonderful, everything was explained clearly and I felt well taken care of. I particularly appreciated that Brian spoke to me directly before and after the procedure. My only complaint is that it is incredibly difficult and burdensome to communicate with the center by phone (or any other way except maybe postal mail) outside the day of your procedure. Your only option is to call a person named Joanna who summarily doesn’t answer the phone, and then leave a message in response to a prompt which is meant to dissuade you from leaving a message - and then hope you are available when Joanna calls back. If you actually speak to Joanna, it feels like you won the lottery because you finally got through. You get the sense that the center is overburdened with “tiresome” questions and phone calls - but have they considered how this feels to a patient? Isn’t there a better way to handle this? I had questions about my prep that I wanted to ask but couldn’t.
Dr. Fung helped me a lot. Took the time to listen to my symptoms and offered solutions. I did not feel rushed.
It was a wonderful experience everything went smoothly I was stressed the doctor was very calm talk me through everything. Explained everything great experience under the circumstances.
