Joining Cary Gastroenterology in 2021, Dr. Brian Lappas is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Education
Dr. Lappas is a graduate of Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. He received his Masters of Public Health from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and his medical degree from the University of North Carolina Medical School. Dr. Lappas completed his internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He then completed his Fellowship at the University of North Carolina, in Gastroenterology and Hepatology and was Chief Fellow in 2020-2021.

I just saw Dr. Lappas for the first time today for a consult and was a little nervous about the whole thing. I have to say, he did a wonderful job educating me and putting my mind at ease in terms of my treatment choices and how to proceed. Super guy with a great bedside manner and tons of knowledge. 5 stars for sure!

Excellence & Bedside Manner Defines Them!
Just went to Cary Gatrology for my consult and was please with them. The office was very nice and staff was personable. Felt more confident that we could figure out what was going on after talking with Brian. He was really nice and listened to my concerns. He offered advice I could start immediately as well as test we can do to make sure there is no underlying causes. So far I am happy I chose them.
