About Bryan Doherty, M.D.

Dr. Bryan Doherty was born on Long Island, New York and is a dual degree graduate of the University of Delaware. His journey into medicine began in high school when he spent his summers and weekends conducting research at New York University Grossman School of Medicine and Weill Cornell Medical Center.

He obtained his medical degree at the American University of Antigua and Florida International University in Miami. His residency was at Grand Strand Medical Center an affiliate of University of South Carolina/Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his training with a fellowship in Gastroenterology at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital an affiliate of Weill Cornell Medical College.

Dr. Doherty is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). Dr. Doherty has been published in medical literature and has presented at various national and international conferences.

Dr. Doherty specializes in treating gastrointestinal hemorrhage, foreign body removal, irritable bowel syndrome, liver disease, GERD/heartburn, inflammatory bowel disease, and colon cancer prevention. Dr. Doherty’s passion is driven by the bonds he builds with his patients over the course of their lives and the enjoyment he holds in keeping them healthy and well. Dr. Doherty resides on Bainbridge Island, WA with his wife, and enjoys life with his two daughters and son.
