About Carol E. Mallette, M.D.

Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?

I enjoy the variety of seeing patients in clinic as well as getting to be “hands on” when doing procedures. I also appreciate that many symptoms and diseases in GI are treatable so even if there’s not a “cure” we can make quality of life better.

Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?

I actually enjoy the variety in gastroenterology allowing me to see patients with stomach ulcers, esophageal disease, or bowel symptoms all on the same day. I did do additional training in female-specific gastrointestinal disorders during my fellowship.

What certifications do you hold?

What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
