Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
I specialize in Gastroenterology because of the privilege to care for patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. I value the opportunity of achieving a focused diagnosis, and then coordinating comprehensive, less invasive treatments with a combination of advanced endoscopic procedures and evidence-based medicine for my patients.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
Barrett’s esophagus and Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Screening and surveillance of gastrointestinal cancer, Hemorrhoid banding, Management of pancreatic and biliary diseases, Also Advanced endoscopy including: Diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Balloon assisted small bowel enteroscopy. Also, endoscopic management of Obesity: Orbera/Obalon balloon, correction of fistula, remodeling of anastomosis.

Doctor Nguyen was very professional! My appointment was at 10:15 and he entered the examination room at 10:15! I was very pleased with his diagnosis and further treatment!

Dr Dang answered all my question and did a great job in our first appt. I will schedule my continued appts and treatments with him. He is thorough and has good chair side manners. No wonder he has a lot of good reviews.
We took our 85-year-old mom to see Dr. Nguyen after a referral from a relative. We were truly impressed with his bedside manners. He gave us and my mother opportunities to ask questions and patiently listened, something that I find some doctors don't do nowadays. In addition, he explained everything clearly and developed a plan of care. We left the office feeling reassured. We're truly glad we found Dr. Nguyen and would not hesitate to recommend him to anybody who needs a good gastroenterologist. (His other asset is that he is fluent in Vietnamese!)

Dr. Nguyen was very knowledgeable, listened to my concerns and provided recommendations for a plan forward for my concerns.

I had a very pleasant and easy colonoscopy with Dr. Nyugen. I was very nervous and they made me feel at ease.
No one looks forward to a colonoscopy, but Dr. Nguyen and his staff are wonderful. All my questions were patiently and reassuringly answered (sometimes more than once!) and Dr. Nguyen talked with me before and after the procedure. So don’t put it off!
