About Eric Lorio, M.D.
Dr. Eric Lorio is a board-certified gastroenterologist, specializing in Capsule Endoscopy, Colonoscopy with Polypectomy, Esophageal Dilation, Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), and Flexible Sigmoidoscopy. Dr. Lorio has been recognized for his work as an Adjunct Professor at Tulane University School of Medicine Gastroenterology Department and is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association.
Dr. Lorio has a passion for diagnostic and interventional endoscopy, and he aims to provide patient-centered care in all aspects of gastrointestinal disease. He believes that gastrointestinal disorders substantially impact the lives of people in the community. This field of extreme need allows him the opportunity to positively impact patients in the clinic, in the hospital, and with procedural intervention.
At Louisiana State University, Dr. Lorio completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology. He attended Medical School at Louisiana State University Health Science Center Shreveport. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and fishing.
