About Ernest Orinion, M.D.

Honolulu, Hawaii native Dr. Ernest J. Orinion serves on the Board of Managers for the Endoscopy Center at St. Francis. He sees patients in Indianapolis and Greensburg.

A former biology and physics teacher at Cantwell Sacred Heart High School in Los Angeles, Dr. Orinion continues to teach, focusing his energy on medical education and working individually with family practice residents during GI rotations.

Dr. Orinion graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California, and spent two years teaching before enrolling in medical school. Graduating from the Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska, he completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. In 2005, he joined Indianapolis Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

Dr. Orinion is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. His hobbies include golf, hiking, camping, and Indianapolis Colts football, which he shares with his wife and children.
