About Jadesola Omoyeni, M.D.
Dr. Omoyeni received her medical degree from a prestigious university in Nigeria in 2007. She then proceeded to Glasgow, Scotland where she obtained a Master’s in Public Health emerging with honors and as the best graduating student.
She relocated to the United States in 2012 and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at St Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This is where she also served as a third-year Chief Resident in 2015. During her residency program, she received numerous awards including an award from the American Cancer Society for appropriate screening and detection of a patient with skin cancer. Her fellowship in Gastroenterology was completed in 2018 at Harlem Hospital Center in affiliation with Columbia University Medical Center, New York.
Dr. Omoyeni, a female gastroenterologist, is exceptional in all aspects of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. She is particularly interested in the preventive aspects of medicine such as the prevention of colon cancer using high-value care and cost-effective treatments. She is also a published author writing articles relating to bariatric surgery and liver diseases.
When Dr. Omoyeni is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two young daughters, and extended family. She also enjoys reading novels and hopes to travel the world someday.
