About James F. Jackson, M.D.

Dr. Jackson joined Gastroenterology Consultants in 2007, after completing his postgraduate training and a faculty appointment at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. His academic interests have led to publications in prestigious journals such as the American Journal of Gastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, and The American Journal of Medical Sciences. His interests include general gastroenterology and hepatology, including therapeutic endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, and ERCP, and he has extensive training in the management of inflammatory bowel diseases, Crohn’s Disease, and ulcerative colitis. He currently serves as the Chief of Gastroenterology at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital. He is an avid golfer and enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Carolyn, and three young children.
