About Jean Mbachu, M.D.

Dr. Jean Mbachu is a board-certified gastroenterologist with Texas Digestive Disease Consultants (TDDC). She performs routine GI procedures such as EGDs, colonoscopies, pill-camera endoscopy all in the diagnosis, screening, and surveillance of gastrointestinal disorders and cancers. In addition, she also specializes in liver disorders including hepatitis, fatty liver, and cirrhosis. She is fluent in English. She is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.

Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?

Being able to use my hands to exact immediate change is one of the most satisfying aspects of medicine and the field of gastroenterology allows me to do that on a daily basis.
