The prep kit provided (for an extra $40) was full of knock-off brand products I could've bought myself for MUCH cheaper and it made it so the prep instructions didn't match the items in the prep kit. I had to guess which items in the kit matched which instructions. For example: the instructions call for Dulcolax, but the kit provides "Easy2Go" which is similar to Miralax, but off the top of my head I have no idea if that is the same as Dulcolax or not. The instructions also call for 64 oz of Propel, but there was nothing even close to that in the kit. I struggled to even order the kit because the website you have to use is so confusing. Calling the phone number listed on the website sent me to someone who had no idea there even was a website. Yikes. And the link to chat with support just sends you to a loading screen that never finishes loading, so I was left to figure out the website on my own.
I think the folks at this office should sign themselves up for the prep part and go through all the instructions to figure out where people might get stuck because they don't understand. There are unnecessary pain-points that need to be worked out.
The office was very good about telling me that I could call them with any questions, but the person who answers that number doesn't actually know any of the answers. They just tell you someone will call back. Then you get a call from someone who probably has a billion other things they need to do and if you don't answer the call right away they just hang up and never call back, so my questions had to wait until I was right there in the office for my procedure. Thank goodness my wife is a nurse and she was able to step me through all of this and point me in the right direction.
I will definitely return to this office and Dr. Philo when I need their medical services again. There are too many great things about them to list here, so just trust me.
Thank you to the staff, nurses, anesthesiologist and Dr.Philo.
