Dr. Philo received his medical degree from the military medical school in Bethesda Maryland. He completed his internship at Malcolm Grove Hospital at Andrews Air Force Base. Dr. Philo’s residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in gastroenterology was completed at Naval Medical Center San Diego.

Generally speaking the visit went well. Unfortunately due to some issues in the clinic my procedure went an hour late.

I was not following the prep throughly and Dr. Philo helped me to make best decisions before the procedure. His staffs were very attentive and professional from the beginning all the way till the end. They promptly checked me in and out and it was great experience for me to go through the unknown process by their great assistance.
No one wants to have a colonoscopy but WA GI, Dr. Philo and staff made it as positive an experience as possible! I appreciated receiving instructions along the way before the procedure so that I would come prepared. Check-in was smooth, staff explained what they were doing. All very professional and caring. Dr. Philo spent time with me explaining the process before and visited me after the procedure to discuss findings. Recovery was uneventful. Staff assured I was stable before discharge!
