Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?

Gastroenterology is a fascinating field because of the variety of conditions that can be treated including esophageal, gastric, small bowel, colon, pancreatic, and liver disease. In addition, as a gastroenterologist I have the ability to provide colon cancer screening and prevention at the same time by performing colonoscopies. It’s really a great career!

Do you have a specialty of interest in Gastroenterology?

Colon cancer prevention/screening are of particular interest. I have additional training, certification, experience, and interest in advanced liver disease, but enjoy all aspects of gastroenterology.

What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter. I love the outdoors including hiking, grilling, and gardening. I enjoy rooting for my home town sports teams and hanging out with friends.
