Dr. Jones joined the growing GI Associates staff in 2017.
He received a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Biological Engineering, from the Mississippi State University and became of Doctor of Medicine, graduating from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 2011. He went on to complete both his internship and residency in Internal Medicine while at the University of Kentucky Medical center in Lexington, KY. Dr. Jones completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. Dr. Jones is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Jones comes to GI Associates as a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, as well as an accomplished researcher, with 5 published articles.

Dr. Jones is a great, polite, and caring physician, very professional, and has exceptional bedside manner. He remembered me from my prior visit three years ago because we continued a small talk conversation from that visit, which let me know that he engages with his patients on a professional personal level and don't just see them as a number and financial outlet just to make money. It made me feel He thoroughly explained the procedure, asked if I had any questions or concerns, and completely put my mind at ease. His staff was phenomenal as well, and I could observe that they were all team players. The staff in the pharmacy rock, as well, they answered all my questions and was very professional also. The overall experience from check-in to check out was polite, professional, and great. As this was my second visit to the clinic and I highly recommend it. This will be my choice for GI if future service is needed. I can truly say, "My doctor and his staff rocks!" I just love his nurse, as well. She's so gentle, comforting, courtesy, and understing. Kudo, to the anesthesioligist, he was very polite. He explained to me out of concern (which i already knew, but didn't do it) how significant and important it is to take my meds as direct, even though i hate taking meds. Keep up the good work, you guys are awesome. I will recommend you all anyday!

My experience with Dr. Jones was great. He has a good team and knows how to make you laugh 😃 and not be worried. I'm glad to have him as my doctor.
GI and Associates is one of the best medical centers that I have ever seen. They are highly regimented, orderly, courteous, polite and efficient. I would recommend them to anyone who ask.

After many demands of "have a colonoscopy" I gave in! We have a history in our family of colon cancer. I dreaded this day for so long but scheduled the appointment. I was unfamiliar w/this facility & also the doctors. I was hopeful & trusting God to decide which Dr would suit me best! I dreaded the "HORRIBLE" prep as had been described to me by many friends. Honestly, the prep wasn't too bad as I had been careful of what I had eaten even before the prep. Being a diabetic, I knew that I must eat a little. Again, the day of procedure I admit I was a little anxious but met some special nurses that were there every step. The anesthesia was awful because of deep veins, but I never knew what happened & waking up almost as soon as I had fallen asleep. I met Dr Jones & was extremely pleased w/him. We talked briefly about family history being the reason for my procedure. He was so empathetic about the loss of my sweet brother, and even made the statement that God was going to handle this! IMMEDIATELY I felt at ease & knew the right Dr was sent my way. After procedure, Dr Jones came in w/the wonderful news that all was clear & very good! Again he mentioned God our Heavenly Father took care of that! This is the end of my story from beginning to end, God had this using Dr Jones as his tool. WOW what a witness! Thank you Dr Jones & staff for making an awkward day as comfortable as it was!! Prayers for this practice to continue!

I had a great doctor (Dr Ollie Jones) and also the staff. They took real good care of me while i was there. I felt nothing while having the colonoscopy and i didn’t feel anything afterward either. Go see Dr Jones at GI associate. That procedure will save your life. I recommend it and I will be waiting on the other one in 10 years. Every negative word someone told you about the procedure don’t listen. I had a great experience. I wasn’t in no pain at all.
The prep made me sick but I was able to reach the doctor-on-call and he gave me an alternative that was much better.

Dr. Ollie “Demarre” Jones was great! He listened intently to every concern I had, and explained why I needed certain tests ordered, and referrals made. His assistant Sara made sure I got scheduled as early as possible, so that I can finally get a diagnosis and get some relief. The entire team was great, and I didn’t have to wait very long. My appointment was scheduled for 2:00pm, and I was leaving the facility around 2:45ish. Thank you guys for all you do for us!

The best doctor that I have had in a long time. Dr JONES is the best when no other doctor could not find out what was going on with me. Dr Jones was the one who did. I thank God for him! 🙏🙏🙏
