About Scott R. McDuffie, MD, AGAF
Dr. Scott McDuffie is a board certified gastroenterologist who joined Sumter Gastroenterology in 1996. Dr. McDuffie graduated from Davidson College and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte and achieved Board Certification in Internal Medicine. Dr. McDuffie completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and earned Board Certification in Gastroenterology, which he maintains. Dr. McDuffie is recognized as a Fellow of the American Gastroenterology Association. He has served as President of the Sumter, Clarendon, Lee Medical Society. and as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Tuomey Healthcare System.

I've, unfortunately and fortunately LoL, have had to see Dr. Angus and Dr. McDuffie on multiple occasions throughout the last few year's; both inpatient and outpatient. I have always felt that I was treated with respect and kindness. Dr. McDuffie has worked closely with my specialist at MUSC without making me feel like a burden! Great brdsibe manne to them both!
Dr McDuffie never gives up trying to find something that will help you feel better. He doesn't push a bunch of medication on you. He actually tries to figure out what is causing the problem.
