About Sumanth R. Daram, MD, FACP
Dr. Daram obtained his medical school training from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India and completed his residency training at St. Louis University School of Medicine. He served as a Medical Director for the academic hospitalist program at Wheaton Franciscan-St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, WI prior to completing his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Mississippi in Jackson, MS. He then completed a fellowship in Pancreato-Biliary Disorders and Therapeutic Endoscopy at the Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. In addition to general endoscopic procedures, his endoscopic practice includes ERCP, EUS, Enteral Stenting, Device (Balloon) Assisted Enteroscopy EMR, and RFA/Ablative Therapy for Barrett’s Esophagus. His clinical practice includes General GI, with special interest in Pancreato-biliary disorders and GI Oncology. His clinical research interests are in the field of endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic outcomes and web-based medical education and training including the use of videos in imparting endoscopic training. Dr. Daram has presented at various national and international meetings including the DDW. He is passionate about producing educational endoscopic videos and DVDs. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, in addition to scientific abstracts.
