About Surosree Ganguli, M.D.
Dr. Ganguli earned her Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience at Vanderbilt University. She received her Doctor of Medicine at University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis, TN. She completed her residency in internal medicine and pursued sub-specialty training in gastroenterology at the University of Louisville.
Why Gastroenterology?
I chose to specialize in gastroenterology because it allows me to diagnose and treat patients not only through clinical acumen but also to intervene with procedures that could provide immediate relief as well as prevent conditions such as colon cancer. I also love that I can help patients with a variety of conditions within this field, from irritable bowel syndrome to autoimmune conditions such as crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis to liver disease and much more.
What Can Patients Expect?
Patients can expect compassionate care, a commitment to delivering the highest standard of medical care, and a partnership in managing their gastrointestinal health for a better quality of life.

Locations
My only complaint is with the phone system - the first number I was given to contact (which is a regional number, not Dr. Ganguli's own office, hence I won't reflect it in her otherwise perfect score) puts you on hold for about a minute, then drops the call because "nobody is available" which made it impossible to wait in line to schedule the initial appointment. After two weeks of trying daily, my doctor gave me an alternate number to call, effectively cutting the line, plus referrals to other GI doctors as alternatives. Thus, this phone system could be costing Dr. Ganguli and her staff potential other clients, which would be an absolute shame - they're all superb and deserve all the business they can get. Again, she was absolutely worth the hassle.
Also, the follow up after an adverse reaction to the Rx. Was wonderful!!!!!
Overall the procedure is not unpleasant and you don't feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. The worst part is the preparation leading up to the actual procedure and even that is not that bad.
